"I have been meeting with Kari at least twice a week for the last 3.5 years. Over the course of the years, Kari has helped me improve my eating habits, increase my strength, and settle my mind. She has been very helpful in explaining macros and how the different types of foods I eat affects me. She encourages journaling my eating habits so I can see where I need to adjust. Kari is very good at examining my activities to see where my nutritional intake is challenged. During training sessions, Kari is an amazing motivator. "I had always struggled with my weight. Tried every diet. Gained and lost weight several times. I had always been active. I thought I ate healthy. Trained and ran 1/2 marathons, then marathons, 5k’s. Even with all that training and running I could never reach my BMI fitness goal. I was very frustrated. In 2011 my husband and I joined our local YMCA. We started taking classes, spin, bootcamp, HIIT classes. I was addicted. Kari was one of the instructors for the classes. She was amazing! I could tell she was very experienced and made the classes so enjoyable (even though they were very challenging!). That Christmas my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I said personal training with Kari. So started training with Kari in January 2012. She taught me the importance of strength training, weight lifting (which I love!), and the importance of nutrition. I would log my diet and activities on My Fitness Pal and she could see my diet and activities and help me tweak them. She was always available by text for questions. By spring/summer of that year I started seeing changes in my physique I’d never seen before. I had muscles! I felt amazing! Not only did I train with Kari once a week and take the classes at the YMCA but she was there for me and taught me the proper techniques for weight lifting/strength training (which I love!). She helped me to completely change what I thought was a healthy diet. I was so proud of myself for doing it without any fancy diets or gimmicks, Just pure hard work and sweat! 2017 life happens and kinda fell off the fitness wagon and started to see the weight return. Fast forward to 2020-2021 I kicked it back into gear. Being accountable to a friend who had also trained with Kari. So we reminisce and remember how Kari had changed our lives and we try to simulate her workouts and nutrition she taught us. And we are making a comeback! What Kari taught us was life changing!"

"I got serious about losing some weight on my birthday in March 2023. I had put on about 70 pounds in about eight years and was having some health issues so when I began to focus on getting the weight off Kari reached out to me through social media and started asking me questions about what I was doing. When I told her, she was so generous to help me by figuring out what was missing. I began to look more closely at the foods I was eating, and to pay close attention to when I’d eat and how much. I’ve known Kari for about 30 years and I’ve seen her love and passion for wellness and helping others. She has a big heart and is abundant in knowledge for health and nutrition. I’m just one of many who she has had experience helping to succeed with weight loss. Kari enjoys and loves what she does and I’m very thankful that she reached out when I needed her. She was literally my missing link. Eventually, I found myself having more energy, sleeping better, and hyper focused on getting the weight off so I don’t have the health issues that were preventing me from being the best that I could be. "My first contact with Kari Dempsey was taking one of her famous Boot Camps. This was one of the most difficult workouts I've ever done. I continued to take the class when I could get in (as she always maxed out the class limit) and I became more motivated to work out. I decided Kari was the person I'd like to get to do personal training with. I honestly never considered this as an option until I met Kari. I was concerned that I would not physically be able to do the training with her. I could not have been more wrong. Kari was fabulous at knowing my limitations without allowing me to sell myself short. We trained together for a few years. Our workouts became much more than the physical training. Kari took our sessions and used them to talk with me about the importance of not only working out but the impact of Nutrition on wellness, Stress and what role it plays and how to manage and reduce it, Sleep and how this factors in. I had no confidence and the thought of making a change felt daunting and impossible. I felt lost, and I had no idea how to start my journey.
